Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for a leading main dealer group in Salford. You will perform servicing, maintenance, and MOT testing to brand standards, with a focus on accurate fault diagnosis across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.

The ideal candidate holds a valid MOT Class 4 license, a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent), and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI/City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Main dealership experience acceptable with Level 2 qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of vehicles.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, including warranty work.
• Carry out MOT testing duties.

Salary Up to £40,000 Basic + 1.5k sign on bonus + Efficiency Bonus + Overtime DOE & Qualifications

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Role:

• Carry out servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
• Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair, this work may include warranty approved work in line with our brand parameters
• Carry out MOT testing duties

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester Requirements:

• Full UK driving license
• NVQ, IMI, City & Guilds or Mechanical Engineering level 3 (or equivalent). We will also consider a level 2 if you have main dealership experience
• A valid MOT Class 4 license
