Job summary

Hawk Hiring in Guildford is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join our reputable workshop. This hands‑on, site‑based role offers a clean, well‑equipped facility with Monday–Friday hours and a competitive £35,000–£40,000 basic salary (within a £35k–£45k package) and long‑term career development.

You will service, inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of vehicles, using modern tooling.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• F-Gas certification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Own hand tools for daily tasks.
• MOT Tester licence preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, servicing and general mechanical repairs across a wide range of makes and models.
• Perform diagnostic tests and systematic troubleshooting to locate and resolve issues.
• Maintain high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety to deliver first-time fixes.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to uphold health and safety guidelines.
