Job summary

BCT Resourcing is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician at a well-established franchised dealership in Romford. The role covers servicing, diagnosing, and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards, with access to the latest diagnostic technology and training.

You will enjoy a Monday–Friday, 40-hour week, no weekend work, and a clear path to Senior Technician roles. Basic salary ranges from £27,000 to £38,000 with realistic OTE up to £48,000, depending on experience and accreditation.

Qualifications

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Junior / Inexperienced Technician
  • Basic Salary: £27,000
  • OTE: £34,000
• Experienced Technician
  • Basic Salary: £33,000 - £35,000
  • OTE: £43,000 - £45,000
• Diagnostic / Master Technician
  • Basic Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
  • OTE: £45,000 - £48,000

The Role

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing warranty and routine servicing work.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where appropriate.
• Using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Maintaining accurate workshop records and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Supporting apprentices and junior technicians where appropriate.

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within either a franchised dealership or independent workshop.
• MOT Tester qualification (desirable but not essential).
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
