Qualifications

• IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair required.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience preferred.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and hit targets.
• Exposure to vehicle diagnosis or electronics is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Identify faults and report on safety, reliability and performance of vehicles.
• Ensure all work adheres to manufacturer and dealership quality standards.

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved repair centre in Talbot Green, is seeking a fully qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician looking to develop their career within a well-established, family-run car dealer group.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician will include:

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards and dealership procedures
• Accurately identify vehicle faults and report on vehicle safety, reliability, and performance
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and dealership quality standards
• Maintain high levels of professionalism and quality in a busy environment
• Contribute to team targets and uphold workshop efficiency
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electronic and mechanical issues
• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment

Requirements:

• IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Minimum one to two years’ post-qualification experience
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Motivation to meet and exceed targets
• Experience with vehicle diagnosis, electronics, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
• An active MOT Smart Card is desirable
