Job summary

Autotech Recruit is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a modern workshop in Hertfordshire. You will service, maintain, diagnose and repair vehicles to high standards, with the possibility of a 4-day working week and ongoing manufacturer training.

Offering £60,000 OTE with a welcome bonus up to £2,500, plus 33 days leave, pension, life assurance and wellbeing support. This role focuses on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable: MOT Tester qualification.
• Previous dealership experience.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs.
• Diagnosing faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Completing vehicle health checks and inspections.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
• Maintaining accurate job records and workshop documentation.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.
• Delivering excellent standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:

About You

To be considered, you should have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Good understanding of vehicle safety and industry standards
• Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• MOT Tester qualification
• Previous dealership experience
• Qualified Level 2 Technicians with relevant experience will also be considered
