Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
- Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles to high standards
- Conduct diagnostics, identifying faults accurately, and performing effective repairs
- Complete MOT testing in compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Ensure all work is completed within manufacturer and dealership repair times
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, prioritising customer satisfaction
- Identify additional works or up-selling opportunities where appropriate
- Complete all relevant paperwork and records accurately
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures and regulations
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or an equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician within the motor trade
- Experience within a main dealer environment is highly advantageous
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- MOT Tester qualification is desirable
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with the ability to manage workload efficiently
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
