Job summary

Command in Romford is recruiting a Vehicle Technician for a main dealer representing a global automotive manufacturer. You will receive industry-leading manufacturer training and have opportunities to progress to Diagnostic Technician, Master Technician or Workshop Controller as you develop your skills.

The role offers a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm with no weekend work, and a baseline salary between £27,000 and £38,000, with an realistic OTE up to £48,000 depending on

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within either a franchised dealership or independent workshop.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• A full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical faults.
• Completing warranty and routine servicing work.
• Carrying out vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where appropriate.
• Using the latest manufacturer diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Maintaining accurate workshop records and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Supporting apprentices and junior technicians where appropriate.

The Role

As part of a highly experienced aftersales team, you'll be responsible for:
