Job summary

Evans Halshaw MG Grantham is recruiting a Vehicle Technician Apprentice for a September 2026 start. You will learn on the job while working toward IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance, supported by a mentor. No prior automotive experience required—training is provided to build a long-term career.

You’ll service and inspect vehicles, diagnose basic faults, and gain hands-on experience with our dealership teams. Competitive apprentice benefits accompany the program.

Qualifications

• Interest in vehicles and automotive industry demonstrated by genuine curiosity.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions throughout training.
• Enthusiasm, positive attitude and keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Learning to service vehicles and maintain them following instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components as trained.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections regularly.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain repair and service records in the in-house system and for customers.
