Job summary

Evans Halshaw, Ford Glasgow, offers a Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship starting September 2026. You will combine hands-on dealership work with structured training, aiming for an IMI Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Servicing and Maintenance.

No prior automotive experience is required; training, support, and mentoring are provided throughout the 3-year program. Please note the Training Academy in Daventry is attended 12 times (4 days each) during the programme.

Qualifications

• Interest in vehicles and automotive industry.
• Willingness to learn and follow training instructions.
• Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, with a can-do attitude.
• Supportive, collaborative team mindset is essential.
• Grade C/4 in English, Maths and Science is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn to service vehicles following clear instructions.
• Diagnose, repair and replace vehicle parts and components.
• Carry out vehicle checks and inspections.
• Produce time estimates for repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain service records on internal systems and for customers.
