Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Vehicle Technician for the Oldbury area. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing light commercial and fleet vehicles, with a Monday-to-Friday schedule and a basic salary of £36,465 to £38,896 plus overtime.

Applicants should hold a Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, have a proven servicing and diagnostic background, and hold a valid UK/EU driving licence.

Qualifications

• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK, Irish or EU manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles and fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Complete repairs to required safety and quality standards.
• Accurately record completed maintenance and repair work.
• Work closely with other Technicians and workshop colleagues.

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Mechanic or LCV Technician
• Previous experience working on light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
• Strong servicing, maintenance and repair experience
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK, Irish or EU manual driving licence
• Right to work in the UK
