Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop in Bury. The role involves servicing, repairing and diagnosing vehicles to a high standard, with strong earning potential and ongoing training.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent, with a recognised apprenticeship or solid experience and full UK driving licence. Mon-Fri 8:30–17:30 with optional Saturday hours. OTE up to £40,000 plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance or City & Guilds.
• Recognised apprenticeship or substantial relevant experience.
• Post-qualification experience preferred (around 3 years).

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and diagnose vehicles to a high standard.
• Identify labour times, parts required and order as needed.
• Road tests and diagnose faults, carry out servicing and maintenance.
• Work across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.
• Maintain accurate job records and follow health & safety procedures.

Salary: Up to £40,000 OTE per annum

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy and well-established workshop in Bury.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, repairing and diagnosing vehicles to a high standard.

Your duties will include:

• Assessing repair requirements and identifying labour times
• Identifying parts required and ordering where necessary
• Carrying out road tests and diagnosing vehicle faults
• Completing servicing, repairs and maintenance
• Working across mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle systems
• Maintaining accurate job records and recording time against repairs
• Following all Health & Safety procedures
• Liaising professionally with customers when required
• Working closely with the wider workshop team to deliver excellent service

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance, City & Guilds or equivalent
• A recognised apprenticeship or substantial relevant experience
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic knowledge
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to use a wide range of workshop tools and equipment

Around 3 years' post-qualification experience is preferred.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:30pm

Alternate Saturdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Average working week of approximately 42 hours.

There is also the option to work one full Saturday every four weeks if preferred
