Autoskills-Uk in Coventry is hiring a Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles, diagnose faults and work with manufacturer diagnostic systems.

Hours are 8:30am–5:00pm Monday to Friday with Saturdays on a rota. The role offers strong earning potential, excellent training and clear career progression in a modern dealership environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Experience in servicing, maintenance and diagnostics.
• Full UK driving licence (required).
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work as needed.
• Maintain high standards of safety and workshop documentation.

VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

Location: Coventry

Basic Salary: Up to £42,000 DOE

OTE: Up to £48,000 + Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm + Saturdays on a rota basis

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality servicing, maintenance, diagnostic and repair work while ensuring all vehicles are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
• Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and systems
• Completing vehicle inspections and identifying additional work where required
• Carrying out repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standardsI>
• Working towards productivity and efficiency targets
• Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and manufacturer standards
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Working closely with the wider workshop and aftersales team

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician with:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry
• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Strong servicing, maintenance and diagnostic skills
• The ability to carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to a high standard
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment
• A positive and proactive attitude
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• A willingness to continue developing your technical knowledge
• A full UK Driving Licence
• An MOT Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
