Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Grays to join a modern workshop. You’ll perform scheduled servicing, diagnostics, and health checks, working closely with service advisors and customers to ensure high standards and safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer standards.
• Perform diagnostics to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• Conduct electronic visual health checks with clear recommendations.
• Liaise with service advisors and customers to ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Vehicle Technician

Location: Grays

Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5:30pm 30 mins lunch

Salary: £38,000 Basic DOE plus bonus and overtime OTE £55,000

Your weekday role will include: As a vehicle technician, your typical day will involve completing scheduled servicing in line with manufacturer standards, carrying out diagnostics to identify and resolve vehicle issues, and conducting electronic visual health checks with clear recommendations. You'll liaise with service advisors and customers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while continuing to develop your technical knowledge through training

What we're looking for:

To succeed as a vehicle technician, you'll ideally hold a Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) and a full UK driving licence.

You'll also demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, good organisation and time management, and the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.

Willing to be fast tracked towards MOT testing qualifications
