Duties of a Vehicle Technician
- Conduct accurate and high-standard repairs and servicing of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer, retailer, and industry standards
- Use diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify faults efficiently
- Mentoring and providing technical assistance to fellow Vehicle Technicians
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair progress
- Follow up on work completed to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Strong technical knowledge, especially in vehicle diagnostics and electronics
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a franchise dealership preferred
- Valid UK driving licence
- Motivated team player with a commitment to quality work
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, target-driven environment
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
