Vehicle Technician Duties:
- Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles according to manufacturer and company standards
- Accurate reporting on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
- Adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently with a high standard of quality
- Maintain tools and workshop equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Support team colleagues in achieving workshop goals and targets
- Keep detailed records of all work carried out
- Assist with vehicle safety inspections, including MOT-related tasks if qualified
Vehicle Technician Requirements:
- Minimum IMI/NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Ideally 1-2 years’ practical experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Possession of your own tools
- Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
- An active MOT Smart Card is highly advantageous but not essential
- Experience working within a franchise-approved dealership is beneficial but not mandatory
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, professional workshop environment
