We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a prestigious franchise-approved car dealership located in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career within a renowned automotive business.
Working hours
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm (paid as overtime)

Duties of the Vehicle Technician
- Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
- Accurately identify faults and report vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance issues to management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and work quality procedures at all times
- Work within a team to meet quality and efficiency targets
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and organise workload effectively
- Adhere to franchise dealer procedures and manufacturer guidelines
- Contribute to a positive working environment, supporting team members as needed
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician
- Ideally based within a reasonable commute to Newport
- Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or franchise environment
- Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential
- Ability to work to high standards and deliver quality service consistently
