Octane Recruitment Limited is hiring a Vehicle Technician in Leicester for a premium aftersales environment with modern tools, training and a clear progression path to Diagnostic Technician.

Join a high-performing workshop with 16 ramps and 11 experienced Technicians. The role offers a £46,295 basic salary, £50,000+ OTE, 25 days holiday, life assurance and pension. Hours: 45 per week, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, one Sat in four 8am–1pm.

Formación

• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Recognised Diagnostic qualification required.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician preferred.
• Brand-qualified candidates considered.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out diagnostic, warranty and repair work to manufacturer standards.
• Complete EV tasks (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve faults.
• Support Apprentice Technicians with guidance and development.

Vehicle Technician / Diagnostic Technician

You’ll join a high-performing aftersales team in a well-equipped workshop with 16 ramps and a strong group of 11 experienced Technicians, including long-standing team members with deep product knowledge who are always happy to support.

You’ll have access to OEM training, online learning, development programmes and on-site coaching giving you everything you need to progress through technical levels and stay ahead of the latest technologies, including EV.

What You’ll Do

• Carry out complex diagnostic, warranty and repair work to manufacturer standards.
• Complete EV tasks (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve hard-to-find faults.
• Support Apprentice Technicians with guidance and development.

What We’re Looking For

• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) plus a recognised Diagnostic qualification.
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician preferred, though brand-qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Strong teamwork, process discipline and high standards of safety and quality.
• Ambition to progress ongoing manufacturer training provided, including EV and hybrid accreditation.
