Job summary

Autotech Recruit is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy, modern workshop in the Hampshire area. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards and diagnose faults using the latest equipment.

With £60,000 OTE and a £2,500 welcome bonus, the role offers uncapped earning potential, ongoing training, and clear career progression in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
• Good knowledge of current vehicle technologies and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnosing faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Completing vehicle inspections and health checks.
• Identifying additional repair requirements and advising accordingly.
• Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and safely.
• Working closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Control to maximise customer satisfaction.
• Supporting fellow technicians and contributing to a positive workshop culture.
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and documentation.

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

About You

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to consistently achieve productivity and efficiency targets
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• Current MOT Tester licence
• Previous main dealer experience
• Experienced Level 2 Technicians will also be considered
