Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/LCV Technician to join a reputable national vehicle rental business in Runcorn. You will service and repair a diverse fleet of vans, light commercial vehicles, and cars.

This role offers a competitive salary up to £38,500 with a potential OTE of £44,000, Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:30 pm with Saturday mornings on a rota, overtime at premium rates, and training from leading partners.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and warranty work on a fleet of approximately 3,000 vehicles.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carry out repairs and preventive maintenance as a Vehicle Technician.
• Conduct MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet standards.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship for quick turnaround.
• Keep accurate records of repairs and servicing.

Duties as a Vehicle Technician/LCV Technician:

• Perform maintenance, servicing, and warranty work on a fleet of approximately 3,000 vehicles, including vans, light commercial vehicles, and cars
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
• Carry out repairs, part replacements, and preventive maintenance as a Vehicle Technician
• Conduct MOT preparations to ensure vehicles meet legal standards
• Maintain high standards of technical workmanship to ensure quick turnaround and customer satisfaction
• Keep accurate records of repairs and servicing

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent
• Familiarity with light commercial vehicles and a range of automotive systems
• Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify faults efficiently
• A proactive attitude towards safety and quality standards
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
