Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd has a vacancy for a Vehicle Technician (Vans) in Cardiff. The successful candidate will service, maintain and repair light commercial vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability for a broad customer base.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, experience with vans, and a Full UK Driving Licence. Mon–Fri schedule with optional overtime, a competitive salary, and opportunities for training and progression are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic / LCV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on vans or commercial vehicles (highly desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vans and light commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Complete MOT preparation and general inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Accurately complete job cards, service records, and compliance paperwork.
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and workshop targets.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Salary: £37,639 Basic Salary (£43,639 OTE)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (with optional overtime)

About the Role

Our client is one of the UKs leading vehicle hire and fleet management businesses, and they are currently looking for skilled Vehicle Technicians to join their growing team across multiple sites nationwide.

This role will focus primarily on the maintenance, servicing, and repair of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and vans, ensuring fleet reliability and safety for a wide customer base.
