The Role

LCV Technician / Van Technician / Light Vehicle Technician (Swindon)

Location: Swindon

Salary: £39,500 basic DOE including shift allowance. OTE up to £45k, with overtime at time and a half

Hours: 40 hours per week, multiple shift options available (days, lates, nights)

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced LCV Technician / Van Technician / Light Vehicle Technician to join our team in Swindon. In this role, you will carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs on vans and light commercial vehicles, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient maintenance. You will play a key role in keeping customers' vehicles on the road while delivering a high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing major and minor repairs on vans and LCVs
  • Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance services
  • Diagnosing faults and planning repair work
  • Completing all relevant service documentation and warranty claims
  • Carrying out wheel alignment and tyre fitting
  • Working as part of a team of LCV Technicians / Van Technicians / Light Vehicle Technicians
Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Repair and Maintenance (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)
  • Experience as an LCV Technician / Van Technician / Light Vehicle Technician or car technician looking to move into LCVs
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components to DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Experience with diagnostics and service repairs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Flexible approach with excellent time management
