Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy main dealership in Derby. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, a Full UK Driving Licence, and the right to work in the UK.

An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential. The role involves servicing, diagnostics and repairs on both new and used vehicles, with opportunities for career progression and ongoing

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' workshop experience in automotive servicing and repair.
• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
• MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on new and used vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair requirements.
• Carry out routine inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Ensure all work meets manufacturer quality and safety standards.
• Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
• Maintain high workshop and Health & Safety standards.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician to join a busy main dealership in Derby. Applicants must have at least 3 years' workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. An MOT Tester Licence is desirable but not essential.

Salary: Up to £36,500 Basic | OTE: Up to £42,500

Bonus: Weekly Time Saved and Team Bonus Scheme

Hours: Approximately 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (exact hours and Saturday rota to be confirmed)

• Experience within a main dealership or independent garage
• Strong servicing, diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK
