Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is assisting a fast-fit automotive business in Crawley to hire a Vehicle Technician. The role focuses on light and full-service work, with fast-fit duties including brakes, exhausts, batteries and suspension, plus wheel alignment and tyre diagnostics.

No formal qualifications are required, with the client willing to fund level 3 IMI & Hybrid training. OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600 monthly, with shift pattern 08:30-17:30 Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a rota

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Willing to learn and develop knowledge of Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work.
• Fast-fit duties: replacing/repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery and interpret readings for accurate adjustments.
• Carry out tyre diagnostics and fast-fit replacements/repairs across various makes.
• Work with workshop team to meet targets.
• Collaborate with other Vehicle Technicians.

Job description

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Crawley.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role, our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 08:30 – 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
