Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited has a client in Cambridge seeking a Fast Fit Technician/Vehicle Technician to inspect and repair customer vehicles. No formal qualifications are needed as training will be provided to Level 3 IMI & Hybrid qualifications.

The role involves light and full-service work, fast-fit tasks (brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension), wheel alignment, tyre diagnostics, and team collaboration in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (Essential).
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Passion for the Automotive industry and desire to develop.
• Interest in learning and working with Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work.
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments.
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes.
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets.
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians.

Our client who is one of the UKs fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Fast Fit Technician based at their retail centre in Cambridge.

As a Vehicle Technicianyou would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Pay / salary:

£32,000 - £34,000

OTE:

Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule:

08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
