Job summary

Our client is recruiting a Vehicle Technician in Weston-super-Mare. You will perform light and full-service tasks, with fast-fit duties including brakes, exhausts, batteries and suspension components.

No formal qualifications are required; training to Level 3 IMI & Hybrid will be provided. The role offers a basic salary of £33,000–£36,000 with uncapped OTE and a Monday–Friday shift pattern on a rota basis.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence essential.
• Experience as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed).
• Passion for the Automotive industry and desire to develop.
• Interest in Hybrid cars.

Responsibilities

• Light and full-service work.
• Fast fit duties such as replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts.
• Operating wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings and making adjustments.
• Tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements and repairs across various makes.
• Work with the workshop to help achieve targets and support teammates.

Our client who is one of the UKs fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Weston Super Mare.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role, our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Weston Super Mare

Pay / salary: Basic: £33,000 to £36,000

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday and Saturdays 08:30 16:00 on a rota with a day off in the week.

Vehicle Technician Responsibilities:

• Light and full-service work
• Fast fit duties such as, Replacing and repairing brakes, exhausts, car batteries, suspension parts
• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
