Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd clients require a Vehicle Technician at a busy Exmouth centre. You’ll review and carry out a wide range of fast-fit mechanical work and services. No formal qualification required—training will be provided to obtain Level 3 IMI & Hybrid.

Location is Exmouth with a Monday–Friday 08:30–17:30 and Saturdays on rota. Benefits include 32 days holiday, ongoing training, life insurance, employee assistance, and discount schemes.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential.
• Experience as Vehicle Technician not required, training provided.
• Passion for automotive industry and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform fast-fit and light-to-full service work including brakes, exhausts, batteries and suspension parts.
• Operate wheel alignment machinery, read and adjust readings accurately.
• Do tyre diagnostics, replacements and repairs across various vehicle makes.

Our client who is one of the UK’s fastest growing fast-fit automotive business, are currently looking for a Vehicle Technician based at their retail centre in Exmouth.

As a Vehicle Technician you would be responsible for reviewing work on customers vehicles, completing wide range of fast fit mechanical work and light and full-service work.

You do not need to be a qualified technician for this role. Our client is happy to put you through your qualifications!

Location: Exmouth

OTE: Uncapped and realistic £3,600

Shift and schedule: 08:30 - 17:30 Monday to Friday; Saturdays 08:30 - 16:0 on a rota with a day off in the week.

• Operating precision wheel alignment machinery, interpreting readings, and completing accurate adjustments
• Carrying out precise tyre diagnostics, fast-fit replacements, and repairs across various vehicle makes
• Working with the rest of the workshop to achieve targets
• Work as a team with the other Vehicle Technicians

To be a Vehicle Technician you will need:

• Valid UK driving licence – Essential
• Experience working as a Vehicle Technician (no qualifications needed)
• Have a passion for the Automotive industry and want to develop further
• Want to learn and develop your knowledge of Hybrid cars
