Job summary

A leading car dealership in Chelmsford is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This role offers a competitive salary ranging from £32,000 to £40,000, with opportunities to earn over £60,000 through OTE bonuses and a welcoming signing bonus of £2,500. The successful candidate will perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs, contributing to a busy workshop environment. Ideal applicants will hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance along with a full UK driving licence.

• Experience in servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Perform MOT tests to DVSA standards if qualified.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical diagnostics.

Vehicle Technician – Chelmsford -
Basic Salary -£32,000 - £40,000 -
OTE - £60,000 -
Time Save Bonus Calculated Weekly -
A Dealership £2,500 welcome bonus. This bonus will be split into three payments:

Schedule:
1stpayment - £1,000 after 30 days in post
2ndpayment - £500 after 90 days in post
3rdpayment - £1,000 after 6 months in post


Our client, a busy Franchised Car Dealership in Chelmsford have the requirement for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established workshop team

Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / Service Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician Responsibilities:

As a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician / Service Technician / Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician your responsibilities will include:

Carry out Servicing & Repairs to Manufacturer Standards
Carry out MOT Tests to DVSA standards (if qualified)
Cam belt, Clutch, Gearbox & Engine Repairs/Replacements
Electrical & Mechanical Diagnostics
Carry out New Car PDI’s & Used Car MPC’s
Warranty Repairs

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements:

Active MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7)
Hybrid/EV Qualifications
Manufacturer Accreditations

Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
Saturdays 1 in 4 : 8am - 2pm
