Job summary

Autotech Recruit Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy workshop in Chelmsford, Essex. Work in a modern dealership environment with ongoing manufacturer training and clear career development paths.

Role involves servicing, diagnosis, and repairs to manufacturer standards. Requires NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair; MOT tester status is advantageous. UK driving licence is essential. Excellent ETE and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic is required.
• MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Complete vehicle inspections and identify additional work requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and efficiently.
• Provide technical support and guidance to workshop colleagues.
• Liaise with service advisors and workshop control teams.
• Deliver exceptional standards of customer service and workmanship.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
• Experienced Level 2 qualified technicians with dealership experience will also be considered
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• MOT Tester licence advantageous but not essential
• Full UK driving licence required
