Job summary

WALLACE HIND SELECTION LIMITED is seeking a Vehicle Technician for our Peterborough depot. You will work across a wide range of makes and models, from routine servicing to complex diagnostic repairs, taking ownership of your area of work.

You should have City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or solid experience, plus diagnostic skills and a full driving licence. You will mentor apprentices and contribute to a busy, comprehensive service operation.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in a relevant vehicle maintenance/repair discipline or strong proven experience.
• Higher-level diagnostic training or previous experience in a senior diagnostic role.
• A full, valid driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team and support less experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and rectifying in-depth and complex diagnostic faults.
• Carrying out service, maintenance and repairs across a range of cars and LGVs.
• Liaising with the Parts Department to make sure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Completing job cards, service sheets, clocking and other relevant documentation accurately and on time.
• Keeping your workspace clean, tidy and organised.
• Maintaining up-to-date product and technical knowledge and attending training where required.
• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and other members of the wider team when required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
