Job summary

Talent Guardian in Wimborne Minster is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive business. The role focuses on servicing, maintenance and diagnostics on a range of vehicles, with an emphasis on HGVs, in a Monday-to-Friday, full-time capacity.

You will work both independently and as part of a skilled workshop team, ensuring quality workmanship and safety standards while delivering a professional service to customers.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician.
• Experience working on HGVs.
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge; confident with diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Working predominantly on HGVs alongside a variety of other vehicles.
• Completing routine maintenance checks.
• Diagnosing and resolving vehicle faults.
• Using relevant diagnostic equipment.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Working in line with manufacturer and internal requirements.
• Providing a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers.
• Working both independently and as part of the wider workshop team.

Job description

Salary: £30,030 - £48,948 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a well-established automotive business.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Technician who enjoys working on a varied range of vehicles and is looking for a Monday-to-Friday position with a competitive salary of up to £48,948 per annum.

The majority of your work will be on HGVs, although you'll also have the opportunity to work on lighter vehicles. You'll be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repairs and diagnostics, working both independently and as part of an experienced team.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Has a minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician
• Has previous experience working on HGVs
• Has strong mechanical and technical knowledge
• Is confident with vehicle diagnostics
