Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection, on behalf of our client, invites applications for a Vehicle Technician at our Peterborough depot. You will work on a wide range of makes and models, performing servicing, maintenance and diagnostic repairs.

The position offers a basic salary up to £45,000, plus a bonus scheme, private healthcare and opportunities to gain your HGV licence after 6 months. A full driving licence is required, and there is overtime available to support earnings.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance/repair, or strong proven experience.
• Higher-level diagnostic training or previous experience in a senior diagnostic role.
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to mentor apprentices and support the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and rectify in-depth and complex diagnostic faults.
• Carry out service, maintenance and repairs across a range of cars and LGVs.
• Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Complete job cards, service sheets and documentation accurately and on time.
• Keep workspace clean, tidy and organised.
• Maintain up-to-date product and technical knowledge and attend training where required.
• Support and mentor apprentices and other team members.

Your day: responsibilities

• A Identifying and rectifying in:depth and complex diagnostic faults.

• A A full, valid driving licence.
