Job summary

Halfords is seeking an Experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in the UK. You will perform servicing, diagnostics and complex repairs including brakes, electrical systems and timing components. A Level 3 or time-served background is required, with a full UK driving licence (≤9 points).

The role offers a base salary up to £34,000 plus an uncapped bonus scheme with on-target earnings up to £40,600. Early career progression is supported with hybrid training opportunities and ATA/MOT Tester

• Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience diagnosing brakes, steering/suspension, engine and more complex repairs.
• Able to carry out clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics on electrics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing and repair/replacement work.
• Perform diagnostics and fault finding on vehicles.
• Carry out complex repairs including clutches, timing belts and electrical systems.
• Maintain safety and quality standards while working in a fast-paced environment.

Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
