Job summary

Halfords, the UK\'s leading motoring and cycling retailer, is seeking a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic in the Blyth area. The role covers servicing and repair work with opportunities to tackle complex tasks such as clutch and timing belt replacements, diagnostics, and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 NVQ/L3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, with a full UK driving licence (≤9 points) and a track record of diagnostic experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work and complex repairs.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.

Skills And Experience

• Must have a Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical)
