Job summary

Halfords is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic for our UK operations. The role covers servicing, repairs and diagnostics, including clutches and timing belt work, with potential exposure to electrics and suspension systems.

Candidates should hold Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time-served experience, and have a full driving licence (≤9 points). The position offers a competitive package with an uncapped bonus scheme and opportunities for career progression within

• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experienced Technician/Mechanic able to carry out diagnostic work (brakes, steering/suspension, engine) and more complex repair and replacements (coolant/diesel injectors, head gasket, brakes, electrical).

Employee Compensation

• On-target earnings up to £43,220
• Comprising a base salary of up to £36,620
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,600 per year.

As a Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will be already skilled in servicing and repair/replacement work. You’ll have the ability to carry out more complex tasks such as clutches and timing belt replacements and diagnostics in areas such as vehicle electrics, brake steering and suspension systems.
