Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services, plus follow-up repair work such as brakes, suspension and steering. You will join a team in a busy service environment and contribute to high-quality maintenance for customers.

Applicants must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or time-served experience) and a full UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driving licence with no more than 9 points.

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and follow-up repair work (tyres, brakes, suspension, steering, etc).
• Identify and complete repair work in line with Halfords standards.

Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair

Job description

• Comprising a base salary of £31,000 - £33,000
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,700 per year.

Skills and experience

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent OR time served experience
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points
• Experience of delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)
