Job summary

Halfords is hiring a Vehicle Service Technician to perform interim, full and major services, along with follow-up repairs including brakes, suspension and steering components. The role involves using diagnostic tools and maintaining high service standards across our Autocentres.

The position offers an uncapped bonus scheme, competitive base salary and progression through hybrid training, with ATA and MOT Tester qualifications supported by the company.

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full drivers licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement).

Responsibilities

• Carry out interim, full and major services and any follow-up repair work.
• Perform tyre, brake, transmission, steering and suspension tasks as part of service.
• Ensure work is completed to Halfords standards and safety requirements.

Job description

• On-target earnings up to £38,130
• Comprising a base salary of £30,750 - £33,830
• An uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £4,300 per year.
• 5 days a week (This centre is closed on Sundays)
