Job summary

A vehicle movement company in Doncaster is seeking experienced full-time trade plate drivers on a self-employed basis. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering vehicles across the UK while ensuring accurate appraisals. Candidates must possess a clean UK driving licence and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. The position involves early starts and late finishes during the week. Equipment such as trade plates, tablets, and fuel cards will be provided.

Job description

Due to continued expansion our client is looking for full time experienced vehicle movement trade plate drivers, on a contracted self‑employed basis. Immediate starts available for the right candidate.

As a trade plate driver you will collect and deliver new and used vehicles all over the UK in a timely and professional manner.

Part of your duties will be accurately appraising the vehicle before collection, noting any existing damage through the app used by our client for their customers’ vehicles, so attention to detail is paramount.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will collect and transport vehicles, appraise them upon pickup, and deliver on time.

Requirements

• You must be of smart appearance, be disciplined and organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills for when dealing with customers and throughout your working day.
• Hold a full UK Licence with no more than 6 active penalty points.
• Be eligible to work in the UK.
• The last vehicle you collect in the day is usually taken home (carryover) to deliver early the next working day, so having off‑road parking at your home address is required.
• You must be able to demonstrate a good level of customer care and courtesy when dealing with clients at all levels.
• A knowledge of using mobile apps would be a distinctive advantage and also have access to email to assist in your day to day workload.

Additional Information

This role would be suitable to most but especially those with good planning and organisational skills. This is a Monday to Friday role with some early starts and sometimes late finishes. Full office support is provided.
