Job Description:
The Veeva Migration Technical Lead will oversee and manage data and document migration projects within the life sciences industry, ensuring successful implementation of Veeva Vault systems. This role involves project planning, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and supporting pre-sales activities. The position is remote with a flexible salary, requiring an EU work permit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, timelines, and resource efforts. Break these down into actionable work packages, ensuring they are effectively captured and tracked within development plans.
- Serve as the liaison between the technical project team and stakeholders, including project managers, business contacts, and QA teams. Facilitate clear and effective communication, coordinate dependencies, provide timely updates, address concerns or issues promptly, and promote collaboration and teamwork.
- Lead and manage a global team of technical consultants, including onshore and offshore employees and contractors, fostering a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
- Engage with technical stakeholders to gather feedback, understand their requirements, and manage expectations. Keep them informed about project progress, risks, and scope changes with weekly status reports.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, challenges, and potential roadblocks, communicating proactively with the Project Manager and technical team to explore solutions.
- Identify potential change orders and communicate them to the Project Manager. Provide detailed technical scope definitions, estimates, and resource planning for proposed changes.
- Support business development and account management teams by providing technical expertise during pre-sales, developing tailored solutions, and contributing to proposals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Minimum of 8 years in data/document migration, ECM implementation, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within life sciences.
- Extensive experience with ECM platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault, OpenText Documentum, Generis CARA), migration tools, SQL, XML, scripting languages, and cloud/on-premise solutions.
- Strong understanding of life sciences regulations, validation, and GxP compliance.
- Proven leadership in technical teams and complex project management, with excellent problem-solving skills.
