Perfect Placement is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for a Van Technician to join a busy workshop in Castleford. This role offers a secure career path within one of Europe’s leading automotive companies, with comprehensive training and development programmes.

You will maintain and repair light commercial vehicles to the highest standards, diagnose faults using recognised procedures, and road test vehicles to confirm repairs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics.
• Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles or transit vans.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comprehensive toolkit for work on light commercials.
• Strong attention to detail and diagnostic ability.

Responsibilities

• Service, adjust and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose faults and carry out testing using recognised procedures and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and identify defects or potential failures.
• Complete repairs, component replacements, and re-assembly safely and efficiently.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to ensure repairs have been successful.
• Accurately document work carried out and advise on recharge costs.
• Observe health and safety standards during all work activities.
