You will maintain and repair light commercial vehicles to the highest standards, diagnose faults using recognised procedures, and road test vehicles to confirm repairs.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics.
- Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles or transit vans.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comprehensive toolkit for work on light commercials.
- Strong attention to detail and diagnostic ability.
Responsibilities
- Service, adjust and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose faults and carry out testing using recognised procedures and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and identify defects or potential failures.
- Complete repairs, component replacements, and re-assembly safely and efficiently.
- Road test vehicles when necessary to ensure repairs have been successful.
- Accurately document work carried out and advise on recharge costs.
- Observe health and safety standards during all work activities.
