Job summary

Lanes Group Plc in Kinmel Bay, North Wales, is seeking an HGV Jetting Team Leader to guide Operatives in delivering high‑quality wastewater network services. You will oversee day‑to‑day on‑site operations, ensuring safety, compliance and effective use of jetting and CCTV equipment.

The role requires an HGV Class 2 license and a full UK driving licence, with leadership experience and strong communication skills to mentor a small crew in a 2‑person team.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence is required.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• Experience leading small teams or mentoring operatives is preferred.
• Strong communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Comfort with technology and electronic reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate the HGV CityFlex unit, including high‑pressure jetting and CCTV equipment.
• Lead in a two‑person team and oversee day‑to‑day site operations.
• Ensure safety compliance and report issues stemming from operations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain equipment care.
• Support drainage projects, blockages, and emergency reactive works.

Job description

As we expand our operational teams, we are now recruiting an HGV Jetting Team Leader to support and guide Operatives in delivering exceptional customer service, first-class safety standards, and innovative operational solutions across North and Central Wales. As an experienced Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading an operative to deliver high-quality, safe, and efficient wastewater network services across the region. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance, driving exceptional performance, and acting as the senior point of contact on site.

• Operate the HGV CityFlex unit, including high-pressure jetting and CCTV inspection equipment
• working as part of a 2 person team
• operating high specification jetting equipment and vacuumation units
• work projects including any drainage related issues including blockage clearances, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works.
• ensure full compliance with all required Health and Safety requirements
• conduct daily vehicle chekcs to guarantee roadworthiness and report any issues
• Maintain high standards of equipment care, ensuring all tools, machinery, and PPE are safe and fit for purpose. Desirable unless stated as required
• HGV Class 2 licence - Required
• Full UK Driving Licence - Required
• Experience leading small teams or mentoring operatives (preferred)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Confident working with technology and electronic reporting tools

Salary: up to £16.50 per hour depending on experience
Working Hours: 45 per week (1 in 4 on call duties)
Location: Kinmel Bay (north wales)
