Job summary

Lanes Group is hiring a Van Pack Operative to support proactive and reactive maintenance of the wastewater network in North & Central Wales. You will be based at Kimnel Bay, working 45 hours per week with on-call duties, and you’ll play a hands-on, customer-focused role delivering high-pressure jetting and drainage upkeep.

The role requires a Full UK driving licence, readiness for field work, and accurate data reporting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (Required)
• Experience in drainage or utilities environments is desirable
• Willingness to work outdoors and on-call duties
• Capability to complete digital data entry and reporting

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to communicate planned works
• Inspect drainage systems for blockages or issues
• Operate jetting equipment and assist CCTV surveys

We’re expanding! Following a recent contract win, Lanes Group is recruiting Van Pack Operatives acrossNorth & Central Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering industry-leading drainage solutions while supporting one of our most exciting clients and contributing to AMP8 objectives.

About the Role

Salary: £12.71 - £13 per hour depending on experience

Working hours: 45 hours per week, with on call duties

Location: Kimnel Bay

As a Van Pack Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our operational delivery, supporting the maintenance and repair of wastewater networks. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:

Customer Interaction

• Attending customer locations and communicating planned works
• Answering questions and providing reassurance on site

Drainage Operations

• Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
• Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
• Adjusting pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
• Assisting with CCTV surveys when required
• Reporting all findings/data accurately back to operational teams

Data & Safety

• Completing digital data entry using a laptop or tablet
• Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures
• Performing routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment
