Job summary

Lanes Group Plc is seeking a Van Pack Operative in North & Central Wales to support wastewater network maintenance and repairs. You will interact with customers, inspect drainage systems, and operate high-pressure jetting equipment on-site in outdoor environments.

You will also perform data entry, report safety issues, and assist with CCTV surveys when needed, contributing to AMP8 objectives and client delivery.

• Attend customer locations and communicate planned works.
• Answer questions and provide reassurance on site.
• Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear drainage systems.
• Adjust jetting pressure based on blockage type.
• Assist with CCTV surveys when required.
• Record findings and data accurately for operational teams.
• Enter data digitally using a laptop or tablet.
• Report safety issues in line with company procedures.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment.

Job description

As a Van Pack Operative, you'll be at the heart of our operational delivery, supporting the maintenance and repair of wastewater networks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Customer Interaction

Customer Interaction

• Attending customer locations and communicating planned works
• Answering questions and providing reassurance on site

Drainage Operations

• Inspecting drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks or structural issues
• Operating high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear and clean drainage systems
• Adjusting pressure levels based on blockage type (e.g., grease, debris, roots)
• Assisting with CCTV surveys when required
• Reporting all findings/data accurately back to operational teams

Data & Safety

• Completing digital data entry using a laptop or tablet
• Reporting safety issues in line with company procedures
• Performing routine checks and maintenance of jetting equipment

This role involves outdoor work, problem-solving, and teamwork - perfect for someone who enjoys varied days and working in the field.

Qualifications & Certifications

• Full UK driving licence (Required)
• WJA Red or Blue Book
• Banksman Manual Handling
• Emergency First Aid
• NRSWA
• EUSR National Water Hygiene Medium Risk Confined Space
