UPS Commissioning Engineer - Hyperscale Data Centers

Job summary

Eaton is seeking UPS Commissioning Engineers to support the UK South East region, commissioning large UPS systems and ensuring peak performance. You will work across hyperscale data centre environments, performing commissioning, testing and system configuration.

The role requires knowledge of three-phase electrical installation and UPS systems, with experience in industrial communications and PLC control programming.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge.
• Good understanding of UPS systems preferred.
• Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, SNMP, OPC, TCP/IP).
• Experience programming PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA).

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of large UPS systems on customer sites.
• Understand and configure on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
• Create commissioning scripts and perform site acceptance testing.
• Set up remote monitoring software and monitor systems.
• Communicate with stakeholders on a technical level and ensure safety standards.
