Job summary

Eaton is recruiting a UPS Commissioning Engineer to support the UK South region. You will commission large UPS systems, understand online and line-interactive configurations, and configure remote monitoring. The role involves site-based work across the South of the UK and collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Candidates will work with power quality meters, battery systems, and commissioning scripts, ensuring safety standards and high reliability in hyperscale data centre environments.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Commission large UPS system commissioning on customer sites.
• Understand online and line-interactive UPS configurations.
• Create commissioning scripts for UPS systems.
• Perform site acceptance testing at customer facilities.
• Use power quality meters to validate performance.
• Apply thermography and generate reports.
• Work with battery systems (VRLA and Lithium Ion).
• Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
• Communicate with stakeholders on technical matters.
• Follow anti-static policies and ECN procedures during repairs.
