Job summary

Eaton is seeking several UPS Commissioning Engineers to join our UK team, focusing on supporting hyperscale data centre environments in the South East region. You will commission large UPS systems, test performance, and configure remote monitoring while working in a dynamic, safety‑conscious setting.

Candidates should be based south of the UK and hold an HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Qualifications

• Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge desirable.
• Familiarity with UPS systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP for industrial environments.
• Experience programming PLC control systems (power/ generator control/ SCADA) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning of large UPS systems and site acceptance testing at customer sites.
• Understand and support on-line and line-interactive UPS configurations.
• Create commissioning scripts and configure remote monitoring software.
• Use power quality meters and perform thermography reporting.
• Communicate technical details with key stakeholders and ensure ECN adherence.
