Job summary

Airbus in Stevenage is offering an undergraduate placement within the Industrial Management Team. You will support the MAIT site to implement Lean initiatives, produce dashboards, and drive cost efficiency across multiple projects.

Working with colleagues across sites, you will build relationships, contribute to standardised lean processes and help deliver the 12 month improvement plan while gaining hands-on experience in operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate pursuing a relevant engineering degree for the duration of the placement.
• Demonstrated problem solving and practical improvement experience.
• Interest in Lean, Kaizen, visual management and production dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Help define and deliver a 12 month site improvement plan.
• Review and reduce MAIT cost base and ready-for-bid price.
• Develop production dashboards and KPI visualisation for efficiency.
• Coordinate multi-project oversight and lean process standardisation.
• Deliver Lean improvements focusing on Quality, Time and Cost.
