Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space Limited in Stevenage is seeking a motivated undergraduate for a 13-month placement within the Industrial Management Team. You will support the MAIT Improvement Plan, help develop production dashboards and assist in Lean initiatives to improve productivity.

The role requires studying Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (or related fields) with a proactive, creative mindset, good communication skills, and willingness to work across multiple sites in Europe.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate status required for the whole duration of placement.
• CV and Cover Letter outlining motivation and suitability must be included.

Responsibilities

• Support MAIT Improvement Plan delivery for the site.
• Review and reduce MAIT cost base and Ready for Bid Price through improvements.
• Develop production dashboards and KPI visualization for industrial efficiency.
• Coordinate multi-project oversight to optimize facility footprint and resources.
• Implement and mature the Operational Excellence System (OES) within MAIT.
• Deliver Lean Improvement Projects on Quality, Time and Cost.
• Lead and support process streamlining and cost control.
