Job summary

AIRBUS Defence and Space Limited in Portsmouth is seeking an undergraduate for a 13‑month placement in the Industrial Management Team starting 19 July 2027. You will help define and deliver a credible 12‑month improvement plan for the MAIT site and contribute to lean improvements, dashboard creation, and KPI visualisation.

Based in Portsmouth with hybrid working options, you will work with colleagues across MAIT sites in Europe and collaborate with the broader Industrial and Transformation

Qualifications

• Studying towards a degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical/Radio Frequency, Project management or Health & Safety.
• Good communication skills and proactive mindset are required.
• Some knowledge of coding and scripting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support with MAIT 12-month improvement planning and cost control.
• Assist in developing production dashboards and KPI visualisation.
• Collaborate across multiple MAIT sites to share best practices.
• Support Lean projects to improve quality, timeliness and cost.
