Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Business Development Representative for the UKI region in London. The role is hybrid and reports to the BDR manager, helping scale a growing regional team and engaging with prospective customers across the UK and Ireland.

You will develop skills in value-based selling, build a strong pipeline, and work with the wider sales team to advance opportunities while delivering excellent customer experiences. Prior sales experience is welcome but not required.

• Prior successful sales experience is preferred, but not necessary.
• Determination to succeed, learn and build the next best enterprise software company.
• Active listening and questioning in phone-based and in-person scenarios.
• A genuine interest in big data/AI.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop your skill-set around value-based selling, big data and AI.
• Provide a great customer experience for Databricks' prospective customers.
• Conduct account and prospect research to develop compelling outreach campaigns to increase engagement across accounts.
• Maintain active inbound and outbound communications with prospects using tailored follow-up, including personalised email, cold calling and social selling.
• Partner with the wider sales team to develop a territory strategy, build a pipeline, and increase adoption.
• Uncover and identify client needs and progress conversations into sales opportunities by communicating how Databricks will meet them effectively.
